Re: Samsung UE32T5300AKXXU what rendering profile?

Having a problem identifying that TV. When I search for the model number, it returns as a UK model that says Full HD with HDR. That implies the TV is not 4K, but when I look at the downloadable manual it claims 4K support. So I'm guessing it will play 4K material, but only actually show a 1080p image. Have to say I've never seen a set like that before, at least in the US.

So, let's assume it's a 4K capable set. In that case, the newest profile (since your set appears to be a 2020 model) is the NU profile. It was created to support a Samsung 4K set, so should be a close match. You can also try other TV profiles if you encounter issues with playback. One thing I did note in the manual is that the TV does not support DTS audio. I can't recall if the NU profile looks for that, but if you do have issues with no sound you could try the Roku 4K TV profile, as I know it will transcode DTS to DD.
