Samsung Qled 2021 resume/start

I have noticed this feature doesn’t seem to work on these sets very well however on paid software there should be some sort of development wether the tvs are or aren’t that good at handling nas boxes. If i select the generic profile a film starts and stops at the beginning everytime but cannt get it to resume, if i then select the samsung nu profile it resumes everytime but appears to jump on 5 seconds but cannot get it to start at the beginning whatever i do. This is just crazy and the fact two different prfiles from the same software do two different things tells me the software is having partial impact on the outcome. Surely this isnt that hard to sort out?

Re: Samsung Qled 2021 resume/start

The problem is that Samsung isn't interested in providing a quality DLNA player in the TV software. As to the Serviio profiles, the generic profile does no transcoding, so the video only plays if it's supported by the TV player. For the NU profile, I wrote it mainly to transcode unsupported audio. So depending on your media, it might transcode into the TS profile, and that might be why resume is working. As to it jumping around, it again is a function of the player in the TV, not something controlled by Serviio.
