Samsung UE65F9000 MKV h264 + EAC3 problem

Hi,

Have an issue with Samsung UE65F9000 using E/F-series profile...

With stock profile MKV h264 + E-AC-3, however other files (for sure) those with E-AC-3 JOC do not run at all, and required new setting for transcoding/re-warping .

Is there an way to separate, so only E-AC-3 JOC to be modified ( e.g. by bit rate over 640 kb/s, please give a syntax)... By re-warping all EAC3, I`m loosing play controls (can not fast foreword or restart video from where it stop, also timestamp is wrong).


This one can not run on F-series without re-warping:

Strangely this Audio codec run natively on my UE43KU6072 (J-series profile), however with picture freezing or pixelizing at regular intervals. Then re-warping fix the issue caused by audio ?

The one that won't play contains a Dolby Atmos track, and that's probably what's tripping your TV up. Unfortunately, I don't believe there's any way to only match media with Atmos, so all EAC-3 tracks would need to be transcoded to AC-3.

As far as losing trick play functions, you could try using a different transcoding target. For example, when I wrote the Roku profiles, transcoding to MPEG-TS would lose trick play (no resume, FF or rewind). But when I changed the target container to applehttp trick play became available. As a test, you could try using the Roku TV profile and see if that works. If it does, you could create a user profile file and add your EAC-3 transcoding for just those files. If your personal file inherits from the Samsung E/F profile, everything in the original profile will be used, except for any specific matches you place in your user profile file.

Thanks for replay (without asking about the sister, i do not have)....


Unfortunately my TV with original SEC-1500 is not able to play applehttp. Strangely ASF do not work either.

I test:

However the targetContainer="mpegts", do not impair fast forward on UE43KU6072. And fix the issues with freezing frames and pixelaizing picture (one of those depending on the file :)).

Still can not figure it out where the problem is coming from, on Samsung UE65F9000 using E/F-series profile...

As some Atmos E-AC-3 JOC are working, other not (mostly NOT working)
