Serviio

Hi , having problems with my tv freezing when accessing audio files from Serviio. Just wondering if it is the amount of files I have (850gig of mp3s). Also is there any way for Serviio just to scan the Itunes DB file ( Like streamtome for the Iphone/itouch...very fast). Thanks , great program BTW.

When did the freezing has occurred?
During audio folder browsing or during audio file playing?

size isnt an issue i have over 1tb.

It would seem that D series are having issues with the current profile, some dont like the device description line in the profile, can you edit the profiles.xml file and remove the device description section, and then restart pc running serviio and try again.

Hi , during audio browsing, I will have a go at removing the device section. Thanks for your help. Will post again with the results.

Brilliant , thanks that seems to have sorted it. I have tried Mezzmo , PS3 media server and Tversity and Serviio is by far the fastest for browsing. Thanks again for your help

it looks like there is a timeout going on that the built-in browser has for the (mimicked) Samsung server.

Thanks again for your fast support. Just found that only FOLDER works in letting me browse my music. Artist etc closes the browser on my TV. Never mind, just happy to be able use the folder option.

Guess in the mean time we need to split the C and D profiles, so that we dont get lotrs of support question untill we can find exact issue.

well unless ZIP has fixed it already.
