iPlayer feed fails with B650

I have installed v0.6.0.1 onto Windows 7 64-bit and loaded iPlayer online feed. I have added "http://feeds.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/popular/tv", but when I try to play any feeds from this feed using my Sammy LE40B650 (I use the "B series" profile), I get a "not supported file format" error.
If I use my PS3, instead of the TV, to connect to Serviio it all works fine, which suggests the "B Series" profile has a problem with online feeds.

It appears to have a problem transcoding it....

can you play the resulting .stf file in transcoding folder (after renaming to .mpg) via Serviio?

Might be network latency... possibly the TV is expecting the stream starting sooner than Serviio/your internet connection delivers it.

Could be. Windows 7 was on wireless. My Ubuntu server is on Ethernet. I am upgrading my Ubuntu server to the latest version, which looks like it has rtmp support in ffmpeg. Then I'll try again on that......

Oh drat. Ubuntu 11.10's ffmpeg does support rtmp, but not librtmp so I still get this error:

I have tried building my own ffmpeg using instructions from here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=786095 (and adding librtmp support), but when running serviio I got:

I am unsure why as I can run ffmpeg from the shell ok. Why can't serviio find it?

does serviio have access to the directory that ffmpeg is installed in?

I cannot think what it is called, but you can also make a virtual link to the ffmpeg directory to one that serviio looks at normally.

I have fixed it by adding this to JAVA_OPTS in the script:

and copying my compiled ffmpeg to that directory.
