Fast forward gets slow 3/4 into movie

I'm connected to samsung led. When i play back through serviio say 1.5 hours into the movie the 10second jumps reduce to 1 sec jumps then can go backwards.
So before this i can happily fast forward either with the 10 second jumps or time search. So if the movie is 2 hours long it becomes impossible to fast forward past the half way mark. I have to use the timer fast forward, eg the 1 minute jumps. Movie becomes bumpy toward the end and has been know to stop and turn off my samsung. any help ?
also to help others some of my recordings use to show the wrong time length, eg a 1 hour recording would say it is 30 min long. The way i fixed it was to remove where the shared files were and restart the server then add again
