Hi Zip and moderators,

Hello, Firstly and many many thanks for creating the best media server software in the world.

I have a video file that plays with no issues in windows media player or any player but does not have audio using Serviio and my Samsung TV. The movie starts to play but the TV reports "Not Supported Audio Data".

My TV is:

Samsung B Series: LA40B750U1F
Serviio version: 0.6.1 (the latest version) - problems still previous version as well
Profile Used: Samsung TV (B-series)
Metadata: Read from XBMC nfo files (no internet metadata)

Any help is appreciated

As it says, something in the audio encoding settings. Files with these codecs normaly play natively so the file is not transcoded. I'd recommend to remux it with reencoded audio.

Hi Zip,

Thanks for your reply on this. As i'm not a whiz in doing RE-MUX for files I found a very simple way that did the work and it worked!.

I found this article: HOW to get non working avi files playing
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showt ... p?tid=9399

I followed it exactly (the 1st part) and it fixed my AVI file and it works. :D

I also found another AVI file that contained the so called 'warpoints' and I followed the last part of the document and it worked as well. However, since it is re-encoding the AVI file, the file grew from 700MB approx to 1.3GB. I dont see much difference in the quality of the AVI but at least it now works both in video and sound without a problem using Serviio.

I have found that the website link above requires membership (free to join) as you are limited in the number of times you can view the link above, once limit exceeded it requires for person to join. I have re-created the exact copy of the post in that website and placed it in a PDF document for offline reading, all credits go to the creator of the original post. I hope that it's ok & dont want to upset anyone.

I hope this helps other people in this forum

Morci :)
