Samsung BD-C6500 and Live Streams

I have scoured the forums here and hopefully I didn't miss it but I would like to know if anyone has gotten the Samsung BD-C6500 Bluray player to do live streams off of 0.6.2?

I run Serviio off of my SuSE Linux 12.1 server with no issues and have yet to get success with live streams. I have tried the test Sky News and no go, yet it works off my laptop and VLC player.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Don

I've been having the same issue with a BD-C5500 blu ray player.

Regular RSS Feeds work for both video and audio (e.g., daily show, or the Bill Simmons ESPN podcast).

Skynews stream plays in VLC on Win 7 box. Links to live streams show up in the folder structure on the Samsung. But when I click them, the progress spinner spins for a while and then I eventually get a message that the file type is not supported or something like that.

I thought I'd try setting up streaming to my android phone, just to see if the outcome was different there. I used Bubble Upnp along with Rockit Player lite and Moto (?).

The result was a bit different for audio streaming. I was able to get the KEXP.org stream to play inside Bubble. But when I tried to stream a video live stream I got a message with both players that the file type was not supported or something like that.

Hopefully, we can figure out what's up with this stuff.

A little off the point, but with the RSS feeds of shows, I can play and pause them, but not ff and RW, is that the expected behavior for the samsungs blu ray players?

Hello all,

I also have streaming problems with my BD-C6500/XAA blue-ray player. Using the unmodified profiles and stock ffmpeg, I CAN stream all AAC encoded streams. But I can't get ANY MP3 128k streams to play. I have searched the forum and tried all profile modifications and the latest ffmeg (static build March 03 2012). My ffmpeg -i reports show only the one problem of no header received in the stream. Below is the list of failed streams.

After 8 hours of trying all the different configurations, I finally gave up. Any help would be appreciated.

maybe, you could try adding transcoding of mp3 (to mp3) in the generic online transcoding to try ffmpeg deal with it
