How subtitles are displayed is completely up the the device, the server (serviio) just provides the device with the file containing them. There may be something on your tv that you could try, but your best bet would probably be from your devices support form etc... Is your tv and english one, or is the menu in hebrew, if it is in hebrew, I would have expected it to render the subtitles correctly.

make sure the srt file is saved in UTF-8. Otherwise check with Samsung support on what encoding the file should be saved with.

Try this:
On your TV remote (while watching something with Hebrew gibberish subtitles) click on the "Tools" button and choose "Subtitle Setting"
In the "Encoding" make sure Hebrew is selected.

on serviio console go to -> delivery ->subtitles -> Character encoding for files where the automatic detection is not available - > write UNICODE

Return to Samsung
