Hello!

i'm new to Serviio, but it seems to be a great applicaton so i hope to be able to get it working.

I have a Samsung, Model number: UE46EH5305KXXE
There is a lot of talk about A, B C and D-series in here, but if i understood it correctly this model is considered a 5-series

Anyway, i'm running Serviio on a Windows 7 Ultimate and that is fine.
Also, connecting the TV to the server is no problem, and browsing is fine.

however, when i try to open a file, no matter if its xvid, divx, avi, mkv or mp3, it says "The selected file is not currently supported"
I've tried using the different Samsung Profiles, and also the Generic DLNA profile (which was the one the tv was detected as), but to no avail.

I've also tried switching the Transcoding on and off.

This is a SMART TV using "Smart Hub" version 4.3791-5.0
To start Serviio i open an applicaton on the tv called "Allshare play" from which i can connect to a DNLA-server.

The files not working in Serviio works fine in Samsungs server application called "Samsung PC Share Manager".

I hope i can get any good hints from here, and just let me know if you need any more information

Best Regards

Timmy

Thank you for the reply,
i'm afraid that doesn't work. i've tried all the samsung profiles (and restarted both the nlda server and the windows service after every change) and all give the same result :(

Hello again!

i just got this working! i'm not sure why exactly, but it started working after i bound my ip-adress to the physical NIC (i also have some virtual NIC's on the computer)

when i did that everything started working like a charm. also, on the TV the icon for the NDLA-server changed from looking like a TV to looking like the Serviio-logo.
so it seemed like for some reason because the computer wasn't sure what NIC to use, it was able to recognize an NDLA-server on the computer, but couldn't identify it as Serviio.

Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction! i got suspicious when checking the debug log and seeing that all different interfaces were broadcasting

Sorry for digging this thread up, but I have the same problem and I was wondering how do I bind my ip-adress to the physical NIC?
I have a TP-Link N750

I uploaded the serviio.log

Either by (a) setting it in Serviio Console, on the Status tab (select the NIC from the drop down box at the bottom of the tab) or (b) using the serviio.boundAddr system property (see http://www.serviio.org/index.php?option ... icle&id=43 and http://www.serviio.org/component/conten ... RkcmVzcyJd).

In either case, best to set a reserved (or static) IP address on the server.
