Photos slideshow so slow

Hi

I`d like to do a slideshow. Have a folder with photos and try to display them on the TV (Samsung C Series).
Unfortunately it is loading one photo for about few minutes.

Maybe the reason is wifi that needs so much time to send 8MB file from laptop to TV?
I have 802.11g standard. Maybe 802.11n is required to make viewing images on TV reasonable?

Also noticed that ff and rev don`t work.

Thanks in advance for any clues.

Btw. I`m using serviio 6.2 on Mac OSX 10.7.3, TV: Samsung UE40C8000

It might be resizing the image which might take some time, depending on your HW.

Don`t think it`s resizing issue. I copied photos to usb pendrive and displayed it on TV. Noticed almost no rendering/resizing issues. Images on click showed up immediately.

Anyway, I also moved my router closer to the tv and laptop. Noticed much better results but it still was not enough. Doing slideshow and waiting few seconds for next or previous photo is not acceptable.
It`s weird for me because streaming movies work really good. I would expect images should work equally good or even better but that is not the case in my situation.

So I think wifi is a bottleneck and having 802.11n might solve the problem with slow photos displaying on TV.
