Hi!

I installed serviio on my debian pc a few days ago and everything went fine. My tv was detected and I could stream my video files.
Yesterday I noticed that the message which pops up when serviio starts and detect my tv was missing. Now I don't get it to work again.
I turned detailed logging on and my logfiles says now:

2012-08-07 11:05:58,634 DEBUG [WebServer] Incoming connection from /192.168.178.8:52986

2012-08-07 11:05:59,834 DEBUG [DiscoveryAdvertisementNotifier] Will advertise again in 00:00:36

I installed serviio on another debian machine here and it worked immediately. The popup on the tv showed up, I pushed OK and I could see the content.
I also removed the complete serviio folder on the affected pc and installed it again. No change.

192.168.178.8 is my tv. Serviio is running at 192.168.178.4. Is the tv blocking serviio or is serviio blocking my tv? The WebUI v 1.0 is seeing my tv, no problem.

So, what happened? Any help would be appreciated. ;)

Thanks in advance.

You set up the TV not to have access in the Renderers list - I'm actually not sure if you can change that in the current version of the web UI, you might see this because the old version is not compatible with 1.0

hmm, strange. If I can't see it in the web UI, how can it happen?
I deleted the serviio folder completely and installed it again. Nothing changed. Where is that setting saved?
and why it is working on another machine with the same setup?

Possibly if you save the Status tab with old web UI it defaults to disabled state for all devices.

So I have to wait for an update of the web UI.

I solved it yesterday the following way:

I installed serviio on a windows machine, because I don't use a desktop environment on my linux machines. There I configured the serviio console for remote access
(added in ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions -> -Dserviio.remoteHost=192.168.178.4). In the renderer list my tv was crossed out. I removed the entry and after detecting
my tv again it works.

So there is still the question where this setting is saved. I deleted the serviio folder and the web UI completely and after a reinstall it didn't change anything !?

Anyway, thanks for your help. :)

it's saved in the library folder in serviio installation.
