Greets One And All
Been using Serviio for a while now and LOVE it but have to questions regarding one of the TV’s on my network. One of them a Sony KDL22EX320 and all is fine with that one and a Samsung LE40B651 and that is the one I need help with

1. How do I tell what series the Samsung TV is (Running B series Profile at the moment)
I can play mkv files via the usb port on side of the TV but can’t play through Serviio (unsupported file format)

2. Is this a problem with the way Samsung implements DLNA or a problem with the profile I am using and it needs editing

Hopefully the second one because I cannot hack or edit Samsung’s crapness
Any help is greatfully appreciate

Its the B in Samsung LE40B651. LE is the type, 40 is the size and B is the Series.

The B profile should work fine. Do you have Transcoding turned on in the console?

Pick a file that does not play. Post its details per my sig ,Turn on debug per my sig , play the file and attach the log so we can debug for you.

Sorry its taken so long for me to reply. Partner suprised me with a few days away,

There is nopw no issue mkv's play fine. I thought just incase i removed the Samasung from the media renderers list stoped serviio server rebooted PC (and router and modem for good measure) and turned TV off
After the PC had rebooted i turned on TV refreshed renderers list "JOY IT WORKS"

Sometimes a Reboot solves things i dont understand (other times its a large hammer)

Cheers
