Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbee here so forgive me if this question has already been asked. Having just come across this software can someone tell me how the connection is made to the TV from my macbook pro? Do I need some sort of hardware connection fitted/installed on my TV? If not just how is the connection made?

This looks like what I have been looking for for a while to connect my macbook to my samsung tv, allowing me to display videos, web content, online tv, streaming etc.

You need a TV that supports DLNA. Read the TV manual. Samsung calls their feature AllShare. Your model may not have it.
