Hi - I am new to using Seviio and not highly technical. I am using Ubuntu 12 on my PC. I have set up the shared files in the console (ticking the relevant format boxes) but for some reason whilst the music files show up in the music folder and can be played on my Samsung ES6000 TV, and Samsung Galaxy note, neither of these devices display the video files in the video folder. I have even copied the video files to the music folder to see if they then appear alongside the music files, in case the video folder was not sharing for some reasom, but they don't. This applies to both .mpg and avi files. Incidentally if I use Windows 7 with the Samsung Shaeall PC software (on same machine) rather than seviio under ubuntu, these same Video files play perfectly. Any ideas? I prefer to use Ubuntu.

I assume you have an old version of FFmpeg installed on your Ubuntu. Check out the wiki on how to build a new one.
