Can't see folders on Samsung players or webconsole
Posted: Wed Nov 07, 2012 5:38 pmHi, I'm new to Serviio finally giving up on Samsung's PC Share Manager. One thing I noticed out of the gate is that my folders are not showing up. So I have one folder shared with videos and in that folder are a bunch of subfolders. WIth PC Share Manager I could see all my folders and navigate them. When I click on Folders in Serviio either from my Samsung BDP OR the Serviio console the "Folders" folder is blank. I also have another question regarding the limited access option. My take is that you need to share a separate folder and specify limited access to that specific folder (and hopefully inherently it's subfolders) and then only devices with limited access rights can see it? One more curve ball. Let's say I am sharing D:\movies and in that folder I have D:\movies\adult. If I have full access share to D:\movies and create another share to D:\movies\adult with limited access will that work or will that not work? I have created two shares this same way but since I can't get a folder view I can't test it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
