Hi All,

I've installed Serviio because I don't like the way allshare works.
But after installing, from Serviio console I can not see my TV and the TV does not see the server even if I added the ip address to the console and select the profile Samsung TV C/D/E series.
I checked out all the possible informations in the forum but not be able to make PC and TV talk each other, so I'm opening this topic.

Here below my setup status:

PC ip is 192.168.2.100
TV IP is 192.168.2.105
Both are under the same subnet mask 255.255.255.0
same gateway and dhcp server for TV and PC

The port TCP 8895 and UDP 1900 are open on the router's firewall (Speedport W 723v), win firewall is off.
Both the TV and PC are connected via WI-FI to the router.
Serviio service is running properly and folders I need to share are already included in library.

Attached I include also the Log file from Serviio if it can help to understand the situation.

one more question related to the TV, I've no big experience with the smart TV (this is the first one I own), after setting the Serviio up to work, I should find it in the Allshare menu under the DLNA device, right?

Thanks for all the available support!! :D

Start by verifying the server is detectable. If possible, start VLC on another computer and select UPnP in the left menu and you should see your DLNA server in a few seconds. If you do, the problem is with your TV.

Make sure your TV has DLNA activated.

LOL! was that easy.... :o

shame on me and Thank to you csholmq!

the biggest prob was in the router... I'm germany and the router is german, but I do not speak it...so it take a while to get in the set up of it

now I need to undestand why the MKW files are not playing (TV say not supported file, but if I play them by USB they're working...), but is not a prob, I'll work that out.

Thansk again!
Rap.

Glad I could help!

Set the correct renderer profile in Serviio Console.
