Serviio

Hi there people of the ether, hoping you can be of some assistance.

firstly, i'm pretty limited in my i.t. tech skills so bare with me.

i have a Samsung UA46ES6600 tv and have installed serviio, which is a great piece of software, however it wont seem to stream anything .mkv, i get the error message "file is not currently supported"

some further notes:
1) the current set up comfortably plays all other file types
2) i installed mezzmo dlna server and it played the mkv's but the software just isn't as smooth for everything else, i.e. no fwd/rwd etc so i'd sooner not go back.

from what my limited understanding suggests its an issue with "transcoding" ???

anyway, i had a decent search around for a solution but no good so here i am.

any help is grealy appreciated.

Make sure you selected the C/D/E Samsung profile.
