When I perform a search for subtitles, I notice most postings are related to getting the Subtitles to work where as I would like to disable the default feature of subtitles playing.

Most of my MKV's have foreign subtitles which I would love to disable, I am able to do it when playing on computer by using MKV player, however when playing through the Serviio to DVD method, the subtitles automatically appear.

Does anyone know how to disable the default settings for Subtitles so they do not appear.

appreciate the support

DVD player is a Samsung BD-C6900
TV is 65" Panasonic Viera P65VT25
Running on 64 bit Win 7

Can't you disable them in the TV's tools menu?

I would hang my head in shame if it was something that simple

Would that work considering the source of the file is the computer which feeds the DVD player and displays on the TV.
I would have thought I should disable the Subtitles from the DVD player.

When I click on Subtitles of either the DVD player or the TV while playing a file through Serviio, it tells me that option is not available.
I'm starting to realize that only some files play with Subtitles where as others do not.

I thought this may be because the Subtitles were hard-coded into the movie, still, I can disable them when watching on computer.

Is there no option in Serviio that sets the default way in which an MKV is displayed.

The subtitles button doesn't work with DLNA. Try the Tools button, there should be Subtitles menu item there.
