Serviio

Hello,
in my house i have now 3 Samsung TV's all connected to my mediaserver running serviio.
Two are able to play all types of mediadata without any problems.

But the new one the UE36ES6300 isnt able to play mkv files. I checked the serviio settings and its C/D/E series.
Some ideas how to solve the problem?

in your serviio console, find the TV that has an issue and try a few of the other samsung profiles to see if it makes a difference.

i checked now the a-series and b-series settings and it doesnt work.

can you do an ffmpeg -i on one of the files your having an issue with? sounds like you may need a profile tweak for this TV

And post detailed log of playing the file

After hours of trying to find the solution i decide to take a break and try it again next day.
it really helps. i found out that there are two devices with the same ip in the devicelist. the tv and an unknown device, after deleting the unknown it works correctly.

to find out where the unknow device came from i test several things. finally i found out that this unknown device appears in the list if i plug off the power supply of the tv and put it back on again.
so in normal usage it shouldn't happen and every time i plug off the power supply i have to delete it again.

iam not an expert so i cant say if this problem is created by the tv hardware or softwareside.
maybe this information will help you for future software updates.

Thanks. Could you enable detailed log and replicate this? Then post the log, I will try to find out why it's added twice.

I'm guessing there was never any more on this then? I have the Samsung ue46es6300 and I also get disconnects and probs with MKV files sometimes.
