Hi,
Serviio has been working successfully, streaming content from my laptop to my TV via the attached Sony BDP-S390. Unfortunately, today the yellow Serviio icon is not appearing in the menus of the Blu-ray player, meaning I cant access any of the content on the computer.
I have tried re-starts of all the equipment but have not managed to fix the problem yet. Any ideas?
Thanks

Is your device still showing up in the Serviio Console renderers list, and is it still assigned the correct profile?
You will need to post a
detailed log to assist people help you.
Also some info on how your network is set up - are devices assigned static IP addresses or are they dynamic. Router type? Is the Serviio service running? Did anything change in the environment (eg. OS update, Serviio update)?
Have a look at this post and see if it helps:

Have the same problem, except with a more recent Sony Blu-ray player. Everything was working fine since last fall until last weekend. Serviio all of a sudden just stopped being recognized by any DLNA device on the network. The Serviio console says Serviio is running and the active DLNA devices are listed. But none of these devices see Serviio.
The problem started after a whole bunch of Windows 7 updates were installed. Re-installing Serviio does not help. All other DLNA servers on the machine are recognised so at least I am able to access my media files over the network; but I like Serviio better.

Windows updates plus change in networking behaviour smells like a firewall issue to me. Wouldn't do any harm to temporarily switch it off and see what happens.

I tried shutting off the anti-virus and firewalls, but no change. It was curious that other DLNA servers were being recognised, such as Nero HomeMedia 4.
But I found the solution for the Sony players.
When I went to the Network Settings/Connection Server settings on the Sony player in Setup I found 3 instances of Serviio listed, 2 with "hidden" attributes and one with "shown". I removed all the servers using Options and then updated the servers list on the player. Everything works fine now on the Sony player. Now I have to go to the other Sony players on the network and do the same... what a pain.
Curious though, I still do not see the Seviio icon listed on my remote laptop in network connections as I used to. That does not matter at all though because the drive with all my media on the main computer is shared and so it is easily accessed without Serviio by other computers on the network.
