Serviio

How do I easily/simply remove Serviio icons from my Sony X menu, for some reason several keep appearing in each catergory. Because I received zero assistance from "old mate" petre pedro, I have deleted Serviio from my computer but still I have these festering reminders of this awful server.
Appreciate little help.

In your network settings on your bluray device you can clear them down or factory reset would do it also.

You've not posted any questions about Serviio, this is the best place if you struggled to get it working.

Thanks for your help cobber. Can you recommend a better server than Serviio. Just have to look at this forum to see the problems people have.

Well people tend to post problems not 'yay it works'... so support forums to tend to be full of problems. Serviio works perfectly for me, no problems and I know other people with similar experiences.

However free choice .. as you have a Sony device you want software that will transcode real time (assuming your PC is fast enough). I'd look at the following :

Plex Media Server
TVersity
Mezzmo
WildMediaServer

Some of the are paid for apps so make sure you do the free version and check they work for you first.

If you want to post where you got stuck on Serviio I'm sure people are willing to advise you.
