Serviio

I am new to serviio/ media sharing.

I have sony KDL40EX523.
I am using 2011US profile for this.

I have file that I am trying to play in mkv format, i can hear the sound alright but picture is blank.

Details of file are as below:

I'd guess its because its WebM video but I thought serviio coped with that. Have you got transcoding enabled ? Your on the latest version of serviio ?

Yes , transcoding is enabled.
Avi videos were playing ok on tv ok those do not play without trans-coding.

I think my Title is misleading. audio is ok. video is not on ok for mkv file.

Just out of interest try a sony 2010 profile so it gets transcoded to mpeg2 and see if you get video ?

I've got the same problem now on this file below. I'm updates ffmpeg to latest build etc... no different. I'm currently re-encoding it.

"Header stripping" not supported, should be detected by serviio and remuxed. Check detailed log file and extract the ffmpeg command line used ?
