[SOLVED] TV doesn't see Serviio

Untill a month ago Serviio was working fine on my entirely wireless network, but my Bravia 32CX520 started skipping files or dropping the connection entirely. So now I have connected the TV to the router with a lan-cable, but the TV doesn't see Serviio nor does Serviio see the TV. The TV-internet is fine, better than before, so the connection is fine. And it does recognise the Windows Media Player server on my PC on which I also run Serviio. So it can make some sort connection.

I have opened the TCP- and UDP-port described in other solutions and set the bound IP address to the address of the server on the PC (the only bound address it allows). And I have cleared the list of servers on the TV and on the console and restarted, but still Serviio won't recognise the TV, nor the other way around.

So what is wrong?

All help is highly appreciated.

Could you clean and refresh the device list on serviio console? then save and restart serviio services or reboot PC.(Probably serviio remember your previous settings...)
You can also clean the server list on Sony device (Network menu).

I had done that, I thought, but I have done it again. And now the TV shows up on the devices list on the console with a green dot. But the TV still doesn't see Serviio.

Do you try server diagnostics on your Sony device. Home Menu > Network > Home Network Setup

I have tried that and again now. It says it can't find any server.
(The Windows Media Player has not reappeared either.)

At my wits end I have tried a manual setup of the TV's connection to the router. That didn't help. Then I used the auto-setup of the connection again. And suddenly everything seems to be working like a charm.

So this might be something for others to remember: also dis- and reconnect the TV to the router after the other changes.
