Hello,

I own a SONY BRAVIA 26EX550 tv and I am trying unsuccessfully to play a movie with external subtitles.

I checked every box from these settings

For some reason, when I check all three options, I can't even play the movie on my tv. When I check only the first option, I can play the movie but I can not see the external subtitles. Why is that happenning?

Could you enable detailed log , restart serviio services (or reboot PC), then check log file during the file transcoding ?

I found the exact same problem with TV Sony Bravia TV model KDL 55HX755.
By the way, I'm using "Sony Bravia TV(2012)" profile on Serviio.

Willing, yes - able, maybe.

You need to post a detailed log (the Serviio log) as Illico requested, but it must show you trying to play the movie with subtitles (the snippet of the log you have posted doesn't show you playing or attempting to play the file). When posting the log you would be better posting it as an attachment (zipped up if needed).

Also post MediaInfo details of the file you are having problems with. Are the subtitles embedded or located in a separate file - if the latter, is that file named the same as the movie file name (excluding the extension) and encoded as UTF-8? Also read: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2396 which has some info on subtitle support on the Sony's.

Lastly, a hunch - try changing line in the Sony Bravia TV (2012) profile - which I presume you are using:
