i'm really, really, new to this DLNA stuff. i have a new Sony BDP-S570 player and have it connected to my hdtv. i loaded serviio onto my MAC PRO and it loaded fine. i configured the Sony BDP-S570 and it does see sereviio and shows it on the menu. problem is that when i go to play an audio file (i-tunes library) or photo file (i-photo library) i get the message "there is no playable file". what am i missing in either the serviio set-up or the Sony BDP-S570 set-up?

sorry if this has been dealt with on a previous post...i just couldn't find it.

I'm having the same problem, can someone please help us address this issue?

I've read and read over the postings and have not seen this addressed.

also, I can't seem to find where to enter the profile code associated with my player

Did you select in the Sony XMB menu the proper section?
Video --> Serviio video (only display movies)
Photos --> Serviio Images (only display photos)
Audio --> Serviio Audio ( only display Audio)

Also check with INTELTools if all medias appear on browsing

Did you read FAQ section: http://www.serviio.org/index.php?option ... icle&id=21

The thread containing the answer to this question is here:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1522

I don't think you searched all that hard. 13th post from top at time of writing. I think this gets asked often enough that it should probably be in the main Serviio FAQ though.

thanks to all for the suggestions, the kind words and not so kind words. in any event, i found the best solution...i got rid of serviio altogether and went with tvmobili. this is a no brainer in terms of installation and usage, EVERYTHING is there regardless of file format, it's free, and it's so easy to use. if serviio folks are looking, look out for tvmobilii.

For what it is worth, I have the same Blue Ray player and have had no problems using it. In fact upgrading from 0.5 to 0.5.1 I made no changes whatsoever. I only pointed to my media folders and it worked right out of the box. I dont know why it works so well for me and not others. It just works. I am in the USA. Serviio just keeps getting better and better for me and the others I never did get to work.
Thanks Zip

I would be happy to submit any logs or files if it would help anyone.

Thanks for posting that. Anyone looking at threads like this would be forgiven for thinking the BDP wasn't supported at all when in fact it's one of the best-supported devices. Hopefully this sort of thread will stop now the Readme is there.
