Twitch.TV via PS3 - Streaming Problems?

Hello Everyone,

First of all, just want to say thank you to the community, I have been a lurker and decided to join you all! You have done an amazing job with helping others and all the plugins! It's awesome to see that :)

So, onto the problem.the only problem I have is via PS3 when streaming Twitch.TV streams! Some streams, decided to work fine.. and stream perfectly. but a lot of the time the streams act very weird, the Audio will stream ok, but the video stops.. then plays very fast! then stops.. then plays very fast! Kinda like it stops to buffers and then tries to catch up to the point it was originally at.. by speeding everything up. and this happens.. well. every second .. stop start, stop start, .. My internet connection is fine , it only seems to be streams that have alot of viewers though, then some days they work fine for a bit, and then later on during the stream it will start doing, and then sometimes all my streams I watch do it.

Does anyone else experience this kind of problem? is this just a repost and i've been lazy looking? :P

thanks for your help guys! Much appreciated!

I am having the same issues :( EXACTLY. Even when i press "select" to view the PS3 AVC stream info, I can view it intermittently dropping out, then pops back, at 2.4Mbps and above, which should be more than enough to stream Twitch at the lowest settings. This leads to exactly what you describe, a pause in the stream, then a sip through of the last few seconds, pause again, then zip through the next few seconds... My router is six to eight feet from my iMac, the router is directly wired to the PS3, and I know it's not my internet...

I really wish we can get an answers. I definitely think its an issue with the data being sent from the mac to the router. fyi, my audio plays just fine.

Same here, and I'm quite confused about this. It doesn't appear to be a bandwidth issue, as there are no lost frames, and changing the quality of the stream does not change the odd stuttering delay.

I have even changed the socket size but seen no change in performance.

Also, I am using Windows 7, so this is not Mac exclusive. Wired network.
