Hi Guys - I´ve been reading the forum with no luck, or at least, it didn´t was clear enough for me

I used to have a Samsung SmarTV which worked wonderful with Serviio for playing MKV files with external subtitles using the home network (DLNA)

It was very frustrating for me to realize that my new Sony KDL-W805A does not repreoduce MKV external subtitles (SRT). I had tested succesfully in the store with a Pendrive (USB) but it seems that Sony made it that way: MKV external subtitles works with USB but does not work via DLN

So, my only choice here is to merge the SRT into the MKV or does Serviio solve this problem somehow?

I Confirm: External srt are only supported over USB, not DLNA.



Serviio support embedded and external srt files.
You have to enable subtitle burning on serviio console.

I had enabled subtitle burning on serviio console but it didn´t work (or at least, I thought I had enabled)

Could you please show me how to do that?

I thought it was a problem about the profile I´m using for the TV (just "Sony Briava TV (2013)")

Could you enable detailed logging and check it during file playing ?
Do you use external remote hard drive to store your movies ?
