s1200 Blu Ray device not found

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me get my Sony product connected to my imac using DLNA

I have just purchased a Sony BDP-S1200 Blu Ray player – which I am attempting to connect to my home DLNA. When I use Serviio on my mac, the Blu Ray player is not showing up on the list of devices.

I have turned off the firewall completely on the router – would this mean that the TCP 8895 and UDP 1900 ports in firewall are therefore open – or do I have to do something else here?

Also, does anyone know if there a way to see what DLNA servers AND networks the Blu Ray is attached from within the Blu Ray menu? I can't fathom out why this isn't working.

I'm not technical on the Router-side of things....

Sorry, one more thing to ask. The Blu Ray player shows it's unique IP number on the screen in settings. Will this match the IP number on the Serviio devices list – so I can identify the correct product?

Just to confirm I've understood you correctly. I've gone to this page:

http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=device_sf

I clicked here:

If I download it, will it work on a OSX? (not at the computer at the mo.)
