When playing videos I lose the first several minutes

I've managed to get the videos to show up but for some reason when I play my video it will just start from a random point in the video. Whether its just two minutes into the video or 6 minutes into the video. The point where it starts will be consider 0:00 even though there's definitely stuff before that. Its really bizarre because it still says I have all the time the video is supposed to have but I can't go back anymore than from that point. Essentially the video is only 52 minutes long but it will say that i have 57 minutes. Anyone know what exactly is causing this loss of video?

  • Does this video play fine on your PC? - If not the video is likely corrupt (try remuxing it)
  • Is this one video or all videos? - if one or a few, post MediaInfo details for that file.
  • Does this occur when playing on one device or all devices? What device are you using and what profile is assigned to it?
  • Is the file being transcoded. If so, what happens if you play the transcoded file directly on your PC?
  • Does this occur when playing via Mediabrowser?
  • Does the Serviio detailed log file shed any light on what is happening
I understand that the above may not mean much at this stage, but come back with as much of the above as possible and will try and assist.

If you stop a video then restart it, it will resume at same point, if you want to restart from beginning : Remote-Options-Restart

Is it a local video file or an online web resource (with plugin).
