Sony kdl-42w705b - Serviio Server shows but don´t list libra

Hi there,

I have a imac with yosemite and i'm trying to connect my bravia kdl-42w705b to reproduce my media.

The server appears on my tv , on media servers, i select it but it dosen´t list any folders.

Can anyone help?

Please forgive the obvious question: have you added the necessary media folders in the console?

Yes i did.

And the strange part is that when i press films on the top menu of my tv it appears a resume of the server, and it shows some of the films with covers and all, when i press to show all, it dosen´t show nothing.

If you have a pro version or trial version, do you try with Mediabrowser ?
What are film formats?
What is the serviio version ?
Do you store media on external drive?

Could you enable detailed logging and check log file when you start a movie?

R: I have various, MKV, MPeg, AVI

What is the serviio version ?
R: 1.5 mac

Do you store media on external drive?
R: Yes it's all stored in a WD 1 Ter

Could you enable detailed logging and check log file when you start a movie?

So if it's OK with media browser that should be fine too with Sony device (your external drive has been scanned and library populated...).
Could you check on serviio console that good profile was selected for your device - should be "Sony Bravia 2013" profile (right click on profile colomn) ?

On the previous post, this is not a detailed logging. You have to restart serviio service or restart the PC for changes to be applied.(you should see some DEBUG lines).

You confirm that you can see folders on your sony device, and folder are populated with items, but when you press an item you see an animated icon on rigth top of the screen but nothing start (no video, no audio, black screen - and return to menu folders) ?

So if it's OK with media browser that should be fine too with Sony device (your external drive has been scanned and library populated...).

OK, you have to restart serviio service or PC now. Then look at ./serviio/log/serviio.log file. You'll have detailed log with some INFO and DEBUG lines...

In fact, No, I don't have such model and never see menu.
I suppose you try Film menu like this ... check USB/Home Network

Do you try on Apps menu, do see Serviio logo (same than on top left of this forum) ?


Is there a Sony Bravia 2014 user that could help NunoDelgado here ?
