Serviio

The best thing about the Sony STR DN-1050 was it could access media servers, from these the best and fastest is Serviio (at least for me). One day without any possible reason (no firewall changes, no OS updates, no local lan/wifi changes, etc) Songpal stopped seeing Serviio. Other apps such as SideView are able to see and play content from Serviio & other media servers. To widely test this I have installed SongPal in other Android phones on the same network but the same issue, no Serviio is visible, also tried uninstalling the app, restarting the phone, resetting the A/V receiver.

Songpal is able to see Plex and Windows Media Player.

What else could be done? Or simply Songpal (the version available in GooglePlay) simply won't see Serviio?

Some lights here would come very handy.

Same problem. I used it to play music on my srsx-9. Now it doesn't see it at all, yet my w905 and w7 tv's are both fine with serviio.

The other day songpal stopped working completely, every time opened it crashed so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Since I did this I've had this problem. I'll post if I find a solution but I reckon it's just waiting for another update either from serviio or songpal

I did not know "songpal", is there a forum on Sony you can request some support.
