Serviio

I have a Laptop running Windows 8.1. I also gave a Sony Bravia KDL 40W605B Smart TV .

I installed Serviio v 1.5.2 and ran Serviio. I selected a folder within Serviio as my Library source.

I opened the Home page on my TV, went to Media Server, found my selected folder, and the video that was within it. Everything worked fine.

I have just tried to do the same, and the TV is searching forever ! It says "Connecting to server. Please wait"

Can anyone help please ?

I'm also having the same problem and looking for help!
My TV is Sony Bravia KDL 48W605B and Serviio is installed on Windows 7 64-bit.
Everything worked fine until couple days ago.
I did in that period installed some Windows 7 updates as well as Java 8 update.
My Serviio services is running normally and in Status tab Serviio sees the TV. I tried to stop/start service and reset winsock. Nothing helps.

In the Sony TV's there is a spot to clear the Media Server list. Try that (sorry, don't have a Sony so cannot be more specific - if you search the forum you will find instructions). After clearing, let it search for Serviio again and seeing if that helps.

If that helps, then try setting a static IP address for your Serviio server to minimise this happening in the future.
