Sony UBP-X800M2

I recently purchased a Sony UBP-X800M2 and I use Serviio Pro Ver 2.0 to stream movies from my library. I've read posts about the thumbnails not showing up next to the movie titles on Sony devices and there have been suggestions that the players having the problem may be too old. I have the same problem with the UBP-X800M2 and it's brand new. Prior to purchasing the Sony, I used a Samsung Bluray player and had no problems with thumbnails in any of the folders. I have scanned and repaired the movie metadata using Media Center Master just in case the problem was missing metadata. Still no luck... I wondered if there might be a Sony DLNA profile that needed to be added to address the UBP-X800M2. When I got into the Serviio Console and found my device, it had defaulted to a generic dlna profile. I noticed there were other Sony profiles and one by one I tried them all, with no success. I wondered if you might have a suggestion on what to try next...

Re: Sony UBP-X800M2

Nothing you can do. That's a Sony decision as far as I can tell. I've had a number of Sony devices over the years and none have ever displayed the cover art for any media.
