Having still not found why my PC hangs on shutdown, and I might have to re-install from a saved image about 3 years old.
To save some of the pain, is it possible to save a copy of the modified Serviio installation so that I don't have to copy, paste and delete sections of the code again in order to get it to display certain file types etc.?

I would copy your profile.xml file. that will save all your custom settings. When 0.6 comes out shortly you will have to make the changes to the new profile.xml file since I do not think the current and the new one are not compatible.

Thanks moltra, if I do have to re-install before ver.6 is released, presumably all I do is replace the original "profile.xml file " with my saved one.
How frequently is Serviio revised?

Can't say that I'm looking forward to the prospect of bending a new installation to my will....but then, it's you guys that do all the work, I just find the problems!

Normally it is easy to upgrade. this time is a little different due to the upgrades in database speed, and online feeds.

You will have to place your custom elements in the new profile.xml

What kinds of changes have you made to your profiles? If they are for a certain render to make it work better, if we can get a couple of other users to verify that it works, Zip will make the changes to the stock profle.xml
