Hello,
I have a problem with setting up Serviio on the platform like this:
Windows XP 32bit
TP Link ADSL Router
ESET Smart Security 4
BDP Sony BDP S370.
Problem occured when I installed ESET SS4, after smooth instalation of firewall, my blue-ray player donesn't see SEERVIO.
Can you give me quick step-by-step instruction how to solve that problem?
I must admit that everything worked fine before.
Thanks in advance

I knew it before, however, I have no idea how to open them in ESS 4.
It made me to ask that question.

I use ESET, also had some problems with firewall settings, especially after upgrade to v 0.6.. This is waht worked for me.
I uninstalled Serviio and then reinstalled software. This in effect deletes all existing rules for Serviio in ESET. I then went into the personal firewall settings of ESET.
Click on link to configure rules and zones, then click on new. On the local tab select browse button for application. Look for Serviio Console.exe file. (in my case I used Vista and found under c:/program files(x86)/Serviio/Bin). In the general tab for action I selected Ask. I did the same for the Serviio Service.exe file.
Then from my device (Sony Blu-Ray) I searched for connection sever settings. As the Blu-ray tries to find the server (Serviio) ESET will pop up a box to say it has detected something is trying to communicate with Serviio (inbound) and asks you what to do. You then tell it to allow. I then went back to blu-ray and searched for connection again. This time another ESET box will appear with same message as before for outbound traffic - again select allow. This should now allow Serviio to communicate through ESET's firewall.
Hope this helps
