Hello, I have Serviio 0.6.0.1 on Windows XP SP3 installed and I can see "Serviio" on my Sony Bravia KDL-40HX701. This means once I browse through the Video section "Serviio" is shown as a available ressource but when I try to access it it failes - "Cannot connect to the Server" it says.

Meanwhile I've been checking whether Serviio is up and running and it is. Status is active, IP is correct, device Namen and Profile - everything ok. Also I have added some movies under Library > Shared Folders.

What can I do?

Thanks for any hint!
Armin

Do you have the correct profile selected for your sony"

did you open the ports on the firewall?

  Code:
My device doesn't see Serviio

This could be caused by you having multiple IP addresses on the machine and Serviio binding to a wrong one. Insert IP address of the machine running Serviio into 'Bound IP address' field in Network Settings section in the console or pass system variable serviio.boundAddr including the IP address when starting the server.

Also make sure that TCP port 8895 and UDP 1900 are open in your firewall.

If you are on a Linux based OS, make sure you set up multicast routes properly.

If on Windows, you can push Serviio service down in starting order.

do you have a static IP set for the Sony and the computer running Serviio.

If these do nto help, please enable detailed serviio log and post it here.

hello, I did shut down Windows firewall completly to test it. I will add the corresponding exclusions ports for serviio service and test again. I have DHCP and will now try with static Ip's and feedback.
