Serviio

Just got a new sony 2011 tv (nx723) and installed serviio on the laptop, I have two issues...

1) Not all avi files were playing under the profile "Sony TV - 2011", The only way to fix this was to change it to "Sony TV". By doing this, am I missing out on any features?

2) I know Sony do not support SRT subtitle files (yet), but does anyone know a workaround fix?? I know ps3 media server supports SRT, but I coudln't get this to work anywhere as well as serviio with this tv.

For point 1), the 2010 Bravia profile is transcoding all AVIs to mpeg2. The 2011 profile is getting your TV to play them natively. However there's an MP3 audio bug with the 2011 Bravia and 2011 BDP firmware that's breaking a lot of AVIs. Sony will need to fix it.

Will wait until sony produce a software update for the TV before changing back to "Sony TV - 2011".

Have you ever got subtitles working on your Sony TV and Serviio?

Never with my Sony Bravia TV EX500 2010 model.

Only with Sony BDP player (mkv and avi/xsub)
