I did search and look around, if I missed this I am sorry..

I can get the playback to work fine on the TV, but if I pause or fast forward or any of the controls , the playback stops and says it cannot find the file.. Any ideas?

Could you provide information about the media ? "ffmpeg -i" or MediaInfo result (see signature links)

Thats the ffmpeg output.. it does it on any file i play...

Could you update the ffmpeg version to 0.8 ?

I followed this guide: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=786095 and updated the FFmpeg .. but it didnt fix it.. so i will try the version you asked.. *sigh* i forgot to restart the program, I restarted it and it works really fast now, doh.. thanks for the help.

it worked then crashed out and now i can't get it to play anything.. it says "The server is not accessible. Please try again later"






Is there a better distro of linux that this works best on?

enable detailed logging to see what ffmpeg command is crashing, then try to run that command manually and post the error

Installed from that link in the first place... re installed, no good...

I didnt see one, so I wasnt sure what to run...

I did a grep on the log and didnt find the ffmpeg line..

Suggest:
- Enable detailed logging (see signature)
- Stop serviio services
- Clean the log file (removed or edit then clean)
- Start serviio services
- Browse then Start movie
- Edit log file and look at ffmpeg command line

I have it in debug mode, i changed everything that was asked in that how to. that is all I am getting and now I have lost the ability to play .AVI files...
