Multiple Serviio entries on Sony media menus.

I have searched the forums for this problem but can't find anything, which I find surprising as it can't be just me who's seeing this...
On my KDL-40EX603 BRAVIA TV and my BDP-S370 Blu-ray player I get multiple entries for Serviio in the media menus (for Audio, Images, and Video).
I run Serviio on both a Ubuntu box and my MacBook Pro.
What happens is that everytime the TV or Blu-ray connects to Serviio (on either computer) it creates a new entry in the menus. When they disconnect, the Serviio entries appear as disabled (greyed out) but none of them get re-used next time it connects.
This only affects Serviio. I have a couple of DLNA servers on my iPhone - iMediaShare and media:connect - and also have Vuze (the Bit Torrect client, which includes a DLNA server) on my Mac and for all of these the same entry on the Sony menus gets re-used everytime they connect.
All my kit - computers, TV, and Blu-ray - all have static IP addresses and, of course, the MAC addresses remain the same.
Why does this happen and, most importantly, how can I stop it?

setup static IP addresses for your serviio computers and the TV and this should go away.

As I said in my OP, they all do have static IPs so that doesn't seem to make any difference
Edit: To clarify, they are perhaps better described as pseudo-static IPs. They are assigned by DHCP, but the DHCP server (a BT Home Hub) is set to always assign the same IPs to each device.

On serviio side:
- Open console and clean the device list.(Remove button)
- Save
- Stop serviio services
On sony side:
- Home-> Networks -> server ... clear the server list
On serviio side
- Restart services
On sony side
- Home-> Networks -> update server list.

I have tried the steps you detail, but maybe not in that exact order, so I'll try again tonight and post back.
By "clean the device list" on the Serviio side I assume you mean click the Refresh button?

NO.
"Remove button" on device list, then save, then restart services.

Thanks - that's sorted it
One more question. In the Serviio console, the icon at the left hand side next to each device in the Renderer List is green (Active) for the TV, but yellow (Unknown) for the Blu-ray - and it stays like this always. Why is the Blu-ray "Unknown"?

for some reason it is not being automatically detected. CAn you post your serviio.log file and the information about the bluray player (see signature).

log file attached. note that the "Unrecognized Device" when it's searching for rendering devices is my Humax HDR-For T2 PVR
BTW, the serviio console does correctly id the Blu-ray as Sony BD Player under Device Name and Sony BD Player under Profile.
By "information about the blu-ray player (see signature)" presumably you mean using the Intel UPnP Tools? If so, we have a problem as they are Windows-only but I've only got a Mac and a Ubuntu box.

Serviio
- with UPnp header information could detect the presence and identify a device this is the case of Sony Bravia [GREEN DOT]:
<UPnPSearch><FriendlyName>BRAVIA KDL xxxxxxxxx</FriendlyName></UPnPSearch>
- with Http header information could identify a device but could not detect the presence of the device, this is the case of Sony BDP and SMP [ORANGE DOT]:
<HttpHeaders><X-AV-Client-Info>cn="Sony Corporation"xxxxxxxxxx</X-AV-Client-Info></HttpHeaders>

Illico, so this is the expected behaviour for a Sony Blu-ray player?
It's not a problem, it works fine, I was just curious about why.
Thanks.

Had the same problem.
Followed the instructions but cannot now see Serviio on the Sony BD-580.
Serviio sconsole shows a green light against the BD player, but Sony doea not recognise any server.
Network connection through my home server working fine for internet content, so I know the comms are working.
How do I now get Serviio to show?

Having stated the problem came about by following the instructions in the link, then my reply is YES, I have folowed the link! The reason I now need help is because the instructions followed have removed every instance of Serviio and will not allow me to use it anymore!
Please provide some help in how I can get Serviio running again after telling me how to remove it!
