With Intel Upnp Spy tool we can see this service:

<service>
<serviceType>urn:schemas-sony-com:service:Party:1</serviceType>
<serviceId>urn:schemas-sony-com:serviceId:Party</serviceId>
<SCPDURL>/PartySCPD.xml</SCPDURL>
<controlURL>/upnp/control/Party</controlURL>
<eventSubURL>/upnp/event/Party</eventSubURL>
</service>

It seems that this service is present on SMP N-100/200, BDP-S480, etc.

Does someone used this "Party" feature?
Party Streaming: You can play music in other rooms simultaneously by connecting Sony products which are compatible with DLNA and the Party Streaming function.

I have not tried the party streaming feature on my S480 yet, but expect to do so soon. I have 5 'booming' Mission speakers in one room, so I can listen to music just about anywhere in my house....and my neighbours can join in the party too, also the Police if its loud enough :oops:

Have not really needed to use the party streaming feature, other than I will try it just to see if the tech works. Thanks for reminding me.

Thats right! In England, its 2 warnings then if your still a bad boy....a fine and all your equipment confiscated. Then I would have to take up stamp collecting as a hobby, and thats not my thing :shock:
