Sounds like your pc is writing a huge amount of data to its hard disk at the time and hangs serviio

This may not be.
There are about 15 video files in the folder. No images or music files.

I think that serviio was not properly shutdown and that messed up the disk cache.

Ok, that sounds plausible. But how can I prevent it now? I stop serviio and turn off the PC. :?

After "Exit serviio" serviio is completely finished. The service "Serviio DLNA Media Server" is also finished.

Why must I serviio stop at all? So stop your antivirus tool?

The Antivirus tool is not keeping a database updated. It is just good practice to stop programs with databases.

Thanks Moltra for the answers. Unfortunately, my problem (question) is still not solved.

I think it's normal. You can check the cache files under library folder. If you add new online feeds and close Serviio the file sizes should change.
