[SOLVED]Serviio not showing ".ts" files Recorded TV From PVR

As Requested, I've opened a new thread for this problem.
It is the same problem that I experienced with the previous version of Serviio, and it was solved in the linked thread.
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2492&start=20
In that thread, you offered two edits to the "profile.xml" file, the first didn't work, so I have not tried it on this version.
The second edit worked on the first version of Serviio, but hasn't worked on this one.
Cerberus recommended that I should ask Illico, since he is the expert on Sony products, hence the pm, sorry if this was not the correct way to contact you. :(

Just turned on the TV and run the gauntlet of "Daytime Television" :shock: and behold, Serviio is performing perfectly!
I wasn't aware that the PC/TV (one or the other, or maybe both) needed to be re-booted for the edit to take effect. :roll:
Sorry ! :oops:

Yes, when the profiles.xml was edited, you need to restart the serviio services, for modification to be taken into account.
- Select "Stop Serviio Service" and "Start SErviio Service" on windows start program menu.
or
- Restart your PC.

So the solution for your issue is:
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetVCodec="mpeg2video" maxVBitrate="17000" targetACodec="ac3" aBitrate="192">
<Matches container="asf" />
<Matches container="avi" />
<Matches container="mp4" />
<Matches container="matroska" />
<Matches container="flv" />
<Matches container="wtv" />
<Matches container="mpegts" aCodec="mp2" />
</Video>

Confirm?

Yes, the above edit was ultimately successful.
I did stop Serviio prior to editing the "profiles.xml" file, but when Serviio was re-started, the edit seemed not to have had any effect.
Only after the TV and PC were re started this morning did I discover that the edit was indeed sucessful.
Could it be that the PC needs to be re-booted after the edit, rather than just re-starting Serviio? :?

So what do I do?
It seems to be working OK, should I expect problems?

OK, on console you only stop and start the server part of serviio...but not the serviio services !! (Its not clear I know...)
On Windows Start Program Menu, select Serviio --> Stop Serviio Service and Star Serviio Service.

I'll try and remember that for future, thanks.

Does this change affect the Sony N200 ?

I have not done any editing to the Sony profile - should I do that, or is there a new profile.xml that needs to be downloaded..

Do you read the Sony FAQ (2011, 2010, wiki):
Q: I can see the file on my TV and has a thumbnail picture, but when I try to play the file I get an error "The server is Temporarily unavailable". Serviio log : ERROR [ResourceTransportRequestHandler] Error while processing resource, sending back 500 error. Message: FFmpeg execution failed java.io.IOException: FFmpeg execution failed
A: Turn on detailed logging (see link) you should be able to see the FFmpeg command that is used for the transcode. Try executing the command manually in a terminal window and post the (error) result here.
