[SOLVED] Next step for newbee

Hi,

I am newbee. I installed Ubuntu recently. Read about Serviio and installed that as well. I am still learning my way around, including Linux. I did research around but everything looks geek to me and I blame this Microsoft. So, kindly be patient with my question.

1. I have SONY KDL-46NX11. I do see Serviio show up on my TV. But I do not see any videos/audios under any of the folders.
2. When I click on Console.sh and check the library section, all the correct folders are selected and I do see video files in it.
3. The Media files are FLV , AVI , MP3.

WHat I am doing wrong ? or what I need to do more to see these files on my TV ? Does it involve VLC Player ? I can play all the files using VLC Player.

I apologize if my questions are stupid or naive but some help is appreciated. I am learning my ways around as quickly as possible.

I appreciate if your response are in some steps with correct command.

- What do you see on serviio console STATUS ?
- Do you add folder path on, servio console LIBRARY ? then do you have write permission access to this folder path ?

Server Status: Running (Green)

I suppose what you mean is whether I have added folders using "Add Path" , then answer is Yes. And I do see every folder I add in console LIBRARY, to show up on my TV. Just No Media.

I provided full read and write permission to all the folders.

Friends, Don't think that I was sitting idle.

When someone asked me to upload .log file, I realize I should study that to understand what's going on.

I finally figured out that I am missing something call FFMPEG ( I suppose its driver or some sort of application). I installed in and now I started seeing all the Video files.

My gut feeling is I have to do something to get my audio files too.
