Problems on BDP-S490 with non-playable avi files, sub.......

Hi to all
I’ve read most of the Sony related topics on the forum but I am steel having problems with playing avi files, subtitle integrated in avi files, and subtitles in mkv files. I hoped that some of you guys could help. So, here is the thing. I am having European version of Sony BDP-S490 Blu-ray player (2012 model) with the latest firmware (M12.R.0369) and latest version of Serviio (0.6.2).
When I try to play avi files (all of them have integrated subtitles witch was done using AVIAddXSubs) I get “File is corrupted or unsupported” message and not a single file is playable. Also in front of the file name there is a * (ex: *name of the file.avi).
Now in this post viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2004 , patters wrote:
“- The stock profile allows AVI playback on both European and US region players, however if you need DivX XSUB subtitle support on a European or Canadian player you will need to comment out the AVI MediaFormatProfile line like so (notice that the comment tag is closed at the end of the line):
Code: <!-- MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/mpeg" name="MPEG_PS_PAL,MPEG_PS_NTSC">AVI</MediaFormatProfile> --> “
I’ve done this but it didn’t help.
I’ve also tried with transcoding on/off, changed the profile before and after I added my Blu-ray player and again, it didn’t help.
So, where am I making mistake? Is there any way to watch this avi files (preferably without transcoding) with subtitles?
My second problem is with subtitles in mkv files. I can play this files, well several that I tried, with every type of audio, without any problem and so far I don’t have any problems with shuttering when fast-forward (yes, the picture freezes for 3-5 sec, but after that is continues with no problem and audio/video is normally synced) but I can see subtitles only in one file that already had subtitles in it. Now when I integrated subtitles in this files using mkvmergegui the player just don’t see them, like there is no subtitles?
So how can I fix this?
And just one thing. Several hours after I installed Serviio another server show up on my Blueray. Some VUZE On Natural. Does anyone know what this is?
Sorry for the length of this post and for my bad English. Thanks.
