Homestream Service Not Working

As with Serviio, I have to turn on my Sony devices first else they are not seen.
Homestream shows in colour (as did Serviio), even though the service is not running - still needs fixing.
Using Homestream 1.1, if I turn off the service, it will not re-initialise unless I reboot my PC. Serviio had a separate service and console, which allowed you to do this.
How can I get Homestream to restart without having to reboot my PC.

What are the IP addresses of your serviio computer and TV and what do you have between them?

The equipment is the same as for Serviio, which works!
Why would this affect the service from being started?
I do not believe the Start Service and Stop Service capability of Serviio, which Homestream does not have, would be affected by my equipment, surley this is PC related?
All hard wired CAT6, PC to 10/100 VDSL router, then to 10/100/1000 hub, then to equipment - Sony HX853 TV, Sony BD-S580 BD player, WDTV Live.
All configured with manual addressing to avoid an additional Homeserver appearing whenever it starts up.

There are a couple of ways. Both are the same as with Serviio. Either go to Homestream in Start - All Programs and select Start Service or go to Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services and Stop/Start the service there.
