Serviio

Hi,

I have a Sony SMPN 200 media streamer, and I get great results using Serviio and the Sony.

My only problem is the Sony does not show any thumbnails for the movies in my movie folder (thumbnails for images show OK).

In Serviio, under Metadata, Video tab, I have 'Generate thumbnails for local videos' and 'Look for a local dvd cover...' both checked.

To experiment, I just tried to get one movie showing with its thumbnail. I created a jpg still from a movie, and renamed it to the same as the movie name, then saved it in the same folder as the movie, and refreshed the library. Later I checked the Sony screen, and when I navigated to the movie folder, I still did not get any thumbnail for my movie.

Is this a problem at the Sony end, at the Serviio end, and can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong? Incidently, what exactly does 'Generate thumbnails for local videos' above actually do?

Sony BluRay players and Media Streamers (SMP-N100,SMP-N200) does not support thumbnails for video.
On Sony Bravia TV support it.
