(Newbie)--live streaming with SONY BDV blu-ray player

Hi all. Just installed serviio today. For video on my computer, it works flawlessly. Toying around with livestream and rss feeds. I've downloaded the relevant plugins and put them in the right place, and tried both the "test" streams from here: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=5117. I've also installed some of the RSS channels from the same place. When I tested the links (the yupptv one specifically), it sent my player into some sort of tizzy that required a forced reboot. The same for some of the channels i tried in the rss/atom feed list.

I'm running a macbook pro with OS X lion. If this issue has come up before and i failed to find it with a search, please refer me to the appropriate thread. If not, any suggestions on how to fix the livestreaming much appreciated.

It appears that Sony players hate live streams, and after smashing my head for an hour I found this post: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5265&hilit=live+streams&start=110

I didn't get mine fixed, but apparently this is a known issue that isn't mentioned in the sticky readme post.

Sorry - been busy beta testing. Serviio 1.0 is very near release and should fix this particular problem by allowing different transcoding rules for live streams. The new Sony BDP profile has specific amendments to catch this scenario - forcing live stream transcoding to mpeg2 while still playing on demand streams natively.
