Profile for BDP 370 Blu-Ray

I have a Blu-ray that is around two years old, a BDP-370. It works well enough with Serviio serving up DLNA, but some files will not play... I am under the assumption that transcoding these files using a proper "profile" will allow them to play. The files play using other devices (including my Android tablet).

Is there a compatible profile? Would the BDP-370 be the same as one of the Bravia profiles?

The Sony BDP / SMP profile that gets autoselected is the correct one. What is it that won't play?

I'm not getting audio from some mkv files (as per my other post). It generally works well, I just wasn't sure if there was anything more optimized or something like that.

Serviio is only remuxing the streams in the MKV file so it's quite likely that you'd have the same issue trying to play the MKV file from a USB drive plugged directly into the player. Often a problem like this will be an issue with the way the file was encoded. Trying on USB is a good way to rule this out.

I thought that Serbiio would transcode to a format that would work (depending on the profile). I was able to convert the files using handbrake and the .mp4 versions now work.

If i run into this problem with more .mkv, can I just set up Serviio to transcode into MP4? Obviously I'm a Serviio newb...
