Serviio

Hi guys I found this great program, but helping my brother over the phone and remotely from join.me is proving to be fruitful.

I use tversity myself, but that's to my 360. I thought this would work for his tv a Sony nsx-32gt1, but it doesn't from what I can find out. So I started looking for alternatives and found this FREE GEM!!!

I was able to get it installed on his pc and set the profile to a sony bravia to no avail. I also tried the generic. However he had to download an app called mediahouse from googleplay to see any files???

I didn't think he needed to download any app to play the movies. Is anyone able to give him a a brief walkthrough on how to get this working? It's a GOOGLETV and it's a Sony nsx-32gt1. I'm sure if I was their I could help him, but I'm 6 hours away.

Unfortunately there isn't any solid DLNA support for GoogleTV yet. The best option I could recommend is perhaps ServiiGo will work on GoogleTV to allow you to utilize Serviio v1.0 PRO's feature of streaming. Search the GoogleTV forums for some more information.

ServiiGo should work, but navigation might be a bit of a pain as I haven't spent any time sorting out navigation to work without a touch screen (yet).
